Early Life and Education

Born in a politically prominent family, the statesman and politician attended the Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1970. He also completed studies at the Philology Faculty of the Chechen-Ingush State University.

Professional Career

Prior to his political career, he worked as head of the Quality Control Department at the Karabulak Plant for Non-Metallic Construction Materials. He is married and the father of eight children.

In the tumultuous political atmosphere of the 1990s, he emerged as a prominent figure.

National Parliament

As a People's Deputy of the RSFSR (1990-1993), he represented the 139th National-Territorial District in the Council of Nationalities of the Russian Supreme Council.
