Political Appointments
Tang's political career began in the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He later served as Vice President of the House of People's Representatives. In February 2001, he became Deputy Prime Minister under Candido Rivas.
Diplomatic Assignments and Government Roles
In 2003, Tang was appointed Secretary of State and Secretary-General. From 2006 to 2008, he served as Equatorial Guinea's Ambassador to Spain.
Appointment as Prime Minister
In July 2008, Tang was appointed Prime Minister by President Teodoro Obiang, replacing Ricardo Mangue Obama. He formed a new government with over half of the ministers retaining their positions.
Political Affiliation and Vision
Tang is a member of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, led by President Obiang. He is an advocate for strengthening relations with Spain.
