Premier Minister of Guinea
Bernard Goumou has served as the Prime Minister of Guinea since July 16, 2022. He is a Guinean statesman and politician.
Early Career
Prior to his appointment as Prime Minister, Goumou was the Managing Director of Lanala Assurance from 2017 onwards. On October 27, 2021, he was appointed as Minister of Trade, Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises in Mohamed Béavogui's transitional government.
Interim Prime Minister
On July 16, 2022, Goumou was appointed as the Acting Prime Minister of Guinea following the ill health of the then interim Prime Minister Mohamed Béavogui. The announcement of Goumou's appointment as Prime Minister was made on Guinea's national television.
Current Role
As Prime Minister, Goumou leads the Government of Guinea and is responsible for overseeing the country's domestic and foreign policies. He plays a crucial role in shaping the development and implementation of Guinea's economic, social, and political agenda.
