Early Life

Lithuanian footballer Deividas Šemberas was born on August 2, 1978. During his early years, he developed a passion for soccer and began honing his skills as a central defender.

Club Career

Žalgiris and LFF Kaunas

Šemberas began his professional career with Lithuanian club Žalgiris in 1997. He quickly established himself as a key player, helping the team win the Lithuanian Championship in 1999 and 2000. In 2001, he moved to LFF Kaunas in Latvia, where he won four consecutive league titles (2001-2004) and two Latvian Cups (2001-2002).

Spartak Moscow

In September 2004, Šemberas made a significant move to Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow. He became a regular starter and played a crucial role in Spartak's success, winning four Silver Medals in the Russian Championship (2005-2007, 2009).

Departure from Spartak and Belgorod

Despite his contributions, Spartak decided not to renew Šemberas' contract in December 2009. He subsequently signed with FC Salut Belgorod in 2010 but left the club in July of the same year.

Return to Lithuania

In 2011, Šemberas returned to his home country, joining Žalgiris once more. He helped the team win two more Lithuanian Championships in 2011 and 2012 and captured the Lithuanian Cup in 2010/11.

International Career

Šemberas made his debut for the Lithuanian national team in 1999. He became a key member of the squad, earning over 80 caps. He represented Lithuania in multiple international competitions, including the UEFA European Championship qualifiers and the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
