Early Life and Education

Igor Shmakov was born on September 9, 1985, in Lipetsk, Russia. After graduating from drama school in 2007, he went on to study at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute under the tutelage of Pavel Lyubimtsev.

During his studies, Shmakov played minor roles in the stage plays "The Green Bird" and "Uncle's Secret." He also made several appearances in films and television series, including "On Verkhnyaya Maslovka," "He, She, and I," and "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit."

Career at the Moscow Satire Theatre

Upon graduating from the institute, Shmakov joined the Moscow Satire Theatre. His first role at the theatre was in the play "The Black Bridle of the White Mare." He went on to play significant roles in "The Libertine" and "Moliere."

Film and Television Success

In 2008, Shmakov landed a major role in the television series "I Treat." He played the character of Gleb Lobov, a medical student with both positive and negative traits. Shmakov's performance earned him critical acclaim.

He continued to star in several detective series, including "Brothers Detectives" and "Return for Reinvestigation: Department of Investigative Crimes." He also had a small role in the film "Admiral."
