Early Life and Military Career

Igor Skibu started his military service in 1998 as a platoon commander in the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade.

Commanding Roles

Over the years, Igor Skibu held prominent commanding positions, including commanding the Ukrainian forces in the "Maple Arch-2016" international exercises in 2016 and serving as the Commander of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade by 2022.

Chief of Staff and Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces

In 2023, he was appointed Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 11, 2024, he became the Commander of the Airborne Assault Forces.
