Biography of Ilya Mitko
Ilya Mitko, the frontman of the pop group "Leprikonsy," started his musical career as a vocalist for the punk band "Kindergarten." However, he felt limited in the group and soon left to form another band called "Leprikon." The band played hardcore music and derived its name from Greek mythology, where "Leprikon" was the god of foolishness, merriment, and debauchery. The band also took inspiration from a horror movie they watched with the same name. In 1997, "Leprikonsy" recorded their first demo cassette, incorporating the accordion into their music by recruiting former bassist Vladimir Fedoruk. The cassette, titled "Detki," sold only 10 copies out of 20. Despite lineup changes over the years, the band eventually stabilized and released a full-length album titled "Chelovek idet i ulybaetsya" (later renamed "Nam s toboyu bylo super"). The album gained popularity, especially with the song "Khali-gali," and the band signed a contract with the "Soyuz" studio. Today, Ilya Mitko enjoys fame and success, although he spends most of his time in Belarus, where he feels more comfortable and less burdened by his celebrity status. He values music as his passion and considers it his nest and hive. While he initially never expected to become a musician, his desire to achieve something and prove himself led him to learn the guitar. Ilya Mitko sees music as his life's purpose and believes that he has excelled in it. As for the future, he envisions himself continuing to make music until his popularity fades, after which he plans to travel the world and use his earned money. Ilya Mitko has a strong interest in the opposite gender and has been open about his attraction to women. He aspires to have a family and a loving wife, inspired by the harmonious relationship his parents exemplify. He also mentions that if he becomes super wealthy, he would consider having multiple wives, appreciating the concept of polygamy. Ilya Mitko keeps himself informed about politics and economics, although he maintains a balanced approach and follows topics that interest him. While he has considered writing songs on current and controversial topics, he believes he is not the right person to take on such responsibility. Nevertheless, he remains open to writing songs about everyday life and experiences. Ilya Mitko acknowledges the prevalence of alcohol consumption in Belarus but advocates for responsible drinking. He firmly opposes drugs in any form and believes they are detrimental. Regarding the show-business industry, he recognizes the influence of population size and purchasing power, emphasizing that Belarus has a smaller population and lower disposable income compared to Moscow, leading to differences in the level of development in the entertainment industry. He acknowledges the financial benefits of a developed show business but highlights the lack of values and the negative aspects that often exist within it. Ilya Mitko mentions that while they have achieved many of their dreams and goals, their main objective is to become a universally recognized and loved group. He also reveals plans for a new album and expresses the band's interest in releasing an album featuring songs from other Belarusian rock bands they admire. In conclusion, Ilya Mitko hopes that his fans will emulate his positive and joyful attitude towards life, while also urging them to make their own choices and dress comfortably. Overall, he wishes for his fans to enjoy their music and always stay true to themselves.
