Biography of Ilya Volokh

Ilya Volokh is an American actor of Ukrainian descent. He was born on November 1, 1965, in Kiev. Volokh is a master of sports in rowing and participated in the 1982 World Championship in Italy, where he won a bronze medal. After serving in the Soviet Army, he graduated from the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre (1990) under the tutelage of Alexander Kalyagin.

Following his studies, Volokh interned at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in London. In 1992, he emigrated to the United States where he began his career by appearing in television series. Eventually, he became one of the most sought-after immigrant actors in Hollywood.
