Ilker Yilmaz: The Guinness World Record Holder for Longest Eye Milk Squirt
The Eccentric Record
Ilker Yilmaz, a Turkish construction worker, etched his name in the Guinness World Record books for a feat both bizarre and impressive: the longest eye milk squirt. After sucking in a mouthful of milk, he propelled the liquid through his left eye, achieving an astonishing distance of 9.2 feet (2.8 meters).
Anomalous Physiology
Yilmaz's extraordinary ability stems from an anomaly in his tear gland. Dr. Mahir Kendusim, a medical doctor from Istanbul, confirmed that Yilmaz possesses an unusual cavity between his lower eyelid and nasal cavity. This unique cavity allows him to harness the flow of milk through his nasal passage and expel it through his eye.
Competition and Validation
While Yilmaz's achievement may seem unprecedented, he was not the first to attempt such a record. Mike Moraal from Canada had previously achieved a shorter squirt of 8.745 feet (2.66 meters). However, Yilmaz surpassed Moraal's distance by nearly six inches. Although Guinness World Record officials were not present at the time of Yilmaz's feat, the event organizers recorded the performance and submitted it for review.
Discovery and Recognition
Yilmaz had been aware of his unusual ability for some time, using it for amusement while swimming. However, it was only when he learned of the existing record that he considered pursuing it. After an initial failed attempt two years prior due to procedural irregularities, Yilmaz meticulously prepared for his second chance. On his third attempt, he successfully set the record, which was subsequently recognized by the Guinness World Record committee.
