Lyrical Lineage and Legal Acumen

Born of Bulgarian heritage, the poet and lawyer left an indelible mark on both the literary and political landscapes of his nation. His multifaceted brilliance extended to serving as Deputy Minister of Defense from 2003 to 2005 and as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria during its 40th convocation.

Poetic Prowess

His literary journey began in 1989 with the publication of "Opyt za opredelenie" (Attempt at Definition). This was followed by a succession of critically acclaimed poetry collections, including "Obraten vodopad" (Reverse Waterfall) in 1995, "Vselena po zrach" (Universe in Twilight) in 1998, and "Parkăt" (The Park) in 1999, which garnered him the Grand Prize from the Community of Bulgarian Writers.

His poetic repertoire expanded further with "Trite koshnitsi" (Three Baskets) in 2000, "Razchlenyavane" (Dismemberment) in 2007, "Byalo" (White) in 2008, and "Prodavachăt na kontsi" (Salesman of Threads) in 2009, for which he was awarded the Ivan Nikolov National Prize for Best Poetry Book. His later collections, "4etiri" (4etыре) and "tova edno / mozesz li go," continued to captivate readers with their lyrical depth.

International Recognition

His literary achievements extended beyond Bulgarian borders, with selected works being translated into English, Serbian, and other languages, allowing his poetic voice to resonate with readers worldwide.

Beyond Poetry

Beyond his poetic pursuits, he penned several works that showcased his versatility as a writer. In 1992, he published "Prikazki za Poppo" (Tales for Poppo), a delightful children's book. His philosophical explorations found expression in "Dvamata sadrujnici" (Two Partners) in 2007, while his prose work, "Bog v New York" (God in New York), was released in 2010.
