Early Life and Career (1988-2003)

Irina Friz began her career in the cooperative "Rapana" in Yevpatoria as a seller and commodity scientist from October 1988 to November 1996. From November 1996 to June 1997, she worked as a consultant and director of the antique shop "Aida-2." From June 1997 to November 2001, Friz was an art critic specializing in contemporary Christian art for the Crimean Republican Fund "Art in the Name of Christ."

Public Relations and Political Beginnings (2001-2008)

In December 2001, Friz became a public relations specialist for the Ukrainian Association of Importers and Exporters in Kyiv. From October 2002 to April 2003, she served as deputy director of the "Information Service" enterprise. In 2003, she graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Art Theory and History at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture.

From May 2003 to March 2005, Friz was an assistant to Ukrainian People's Deputy Petro Poroshenko. From March 2005 to August 2006, she worked as an assistant to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and was head of the press sector of the service.

Parliamentary Elections and Government Positions (2014-2018)

Friz participated in the parliamentary elections of October 26, 2014, on the party list of "Petro Poroshenko Bloc," where she was placed 30th. She was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, where she became the chairman of the subcommittee on state information systems security of the National Security and Defense Committee.

From June to August 2014, Friz was head of the Main Department of Public Communications and Information of the Administration of the President of Ukraine. From August to December 2014, she served as head of the Main Department of Information Policy of the Presidential Administration.

In 2018, Friz was appointed Minister of Ukraine for Veterans Affairs in Volodymyr Groysman's government.

Political Initiatives and Recognition

Friz is known for introducing a bill that would revoke accreditation for Russian journalists in Ukrainian government agencies. She also played a role in the formation of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces and initiated a law banning the use of mobile communications in combat zones.

Personal Life

Irina Friz is married to Anatoly, a director of a consulting company. They have two sons named Mark and Erik.
