Early Life and Political Beginnings

Irina Petrovna Gorkova was born on September 18, 1959 in Borisovo village, Moscow Oblast. After holding administrative positions in the Solnechnogorsk district of Moscow Oblast, she entered politics as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR).

Deputy to the State Duma

In 2007, Gorkova was elected to the 5th State Duma, the lower house of the Russian Parliament, on the LDPR's federal list. She oversaw the party's operations in the Yaroslavl region, actively engaging with its local coordinators and members.

Regional Activities

In 2010, Gorkova ran for the head of Lenin district in Moscow Oblast but came second. She also briefly served as the acting coordinator of the Lipetsk regional branch of the LDPR in 2009 and 2010.

Election to the Belgorod Government

In 2012, Gorkova was appointed as an authorized representative of the LDPR's High Council in the Belgorod region. She subsequently ran for governor of Belgorod Oblast but was unsuccessful.

Post-Political Career
