Model, actress, TV presenterIrina Grigoryeva was born on October 14th in the resort city of Sevastopol, a city known for its Russian naval history. Her mother was an architect from the intelligentsia of Leningrad, and her father was a true sailor from a classified division of the Black Sea Fleet. From a young age, Irina lived in the sea, practicing underwater swimming and other water sports.
Education and Early Career
Irina completed her education in Sevastopol, graduating from an English specialized school. Following her graduation, she moved to Moscow and enrolled at Moscow State University to study oceanology. From the very beginning of her life in Moscow, Irina was approached on the street and invited to various modeling agencies. At the time, the daughter of a naval officer couldn't even imagine such a "lowliness" until a friend took her by the hand and brought her to Red Stars. There, Irina realized that her wonderful figure (height - 176 cm, 90-63-95) did not fit the model stereotype of narrow hips and thin bones. Nevertheless, she was included in the list of Moscow's Elite Model Look competition.
Rise to Fame
In preparation for the competition, Irina went on a diet, but her hips did not decrease by a centimeter, as bones, as we know, do not lose weight. Nonetheless, thanks to her vibrant and memorable appearance, Irina became one of the finalists in the Moscow competition. She received an offer to go to Germany. At that time, Irina faced a serious choice: either accept a lucrative contract or take her University studies seriously. In the end, she decided not to go anywhere and graduated from Moscow State University with honors. "I believe I made the right decision by not going to Europe. At that time, the "heroin chic" style was in fashion, which was not my type," Irina later said.
Acting Career
However, it was precisely because of her famous curvy figure, or in simpler terms, her feminine physique, that Irina became one of the most popular faces in commercials for everyday products. Many remember her from the video where she portrayed a character from "Nine and a Half Weeks". In another advertisement, she was buried in a huge snowball. She also appeared as a flight attendant in the music video "Tu-tu-tu, Na-na-na". Through music videos and advertisements, her acting abilities began to manifest. Although Irina wanted to enter a theater school, she decided not to rush events and instead followed a chronological sequence: completing her master's degree at Moscow State University, participating in film projects, and gaining experience in her field. Despite not having formal acting training, Irina was offered roles primarily requiring impressive physical appearances, but she used them as opportunities to develop her acting skills. She aspires to play more interesting roles that showcase not only her beauty but also her talent.
Current Work
Irina's first role in film was as a budding photo model in the miniseries "Hunting Season". This was followed by roles in films by Zalman King, including the erotic series "The Diary of a Red Shoe" (episode "The Farmer's Daughter") and "Black Sea 213". Since then, she has had numerous roles in Russian films and TV series, including the hit "Everything Passes". In this show, Irina learns from renowned actors.
