Early Career in Lithuania

Deivydas Šemberas began his football journey in his native Lithuania. He played for several Lithuanian clubs, including Inkaro Kaunas, Kareda Kaunas, Kaunas, Šilutė, and the most prestigious Lithuanian club, FK Žalgiris Vilnius.

Belarusian Adventure

In 2004, Šemberas ventured outside Lithuania and joined the Belarusian club MTZ-RIPO Minsk. The move was significant for Šemberas as he gained valuable experience in a different league.

Transfer to Tavriya Simferopol

In the summer of 2006, Šemberas made a significant move to the Ukrainian club Tavriya Simferopol. He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut in July 2006 against FC Illichivets Mariupol.

Ukrainian Struggles

Despite an initial promising start, Šemberas' time at Tavriya was marred by injuries and limited playing opportunities. In the autumn of 2008, he became a free agent after failing to break into the team's starting lineup.

Return to Kaunas

In February 2008, Šemberas returned to his roots and signed a contract with his former club, FK Kaunas. He spent the next few years in Lithuania, solidifying his status as one of the country's best defenders.

International Career

Šemberas made his debut for the Lithuanian national team in 2003. He represented his country in several international matches, including the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.
