Early Career

After completing his education at a prestigious acting school, Mizrahi decided to pursue a career in design and enrolled at the Parsons School of Design. His first job was at the fashion house "Perry Ellis" in 1982, where he had the opportunity to work alongside the legendary fashion designer Calvin Klein.

His costume design for "The Women" earned him the Drama Desk Award for "Outstanding Costume Design."

Television and Current Work

In 2006, Mizrahi was chosen as an interviewer for the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. Known for his eccentricity, Mizrahi often posed challenging questions and made provocative remarks, leaving celebrities, such as Hillary Swank and Scarlett Johansson, feeling bewildered. Since January 2008, Mizrahi has held the position of Creative Director at the Liz Claiborne brand. In the same year, he designed costumes for the production "Orfeo ed Euridice," which received acclaim at the Metropolitan Opera.

Following the release of "Unzipped," Mizrahi made frequent appearances on various TV shows and radio programs. He even portrayed himself in an episode of the popular TV series "Sex and the City."
