Actor Robert Redford, whose full name is Charles Robert Redford Jr., was born on August 18, 1937 in Santa Monica, California, USA. He received his education at the University of Colorado. After completing his studies, he embarked on a journey across Europe. Upon returning to the USA, Robert Redford studied to become a theatrical artist at the Pratt Institute in New York, and later graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he studied acting. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the actor began to appear in comedic television shows. Around the same time, he also started acting in TV films such as "Maverick," "The Twilight Zone," and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." Robert Redford made his acting debut in the 1962 film "War Hunt." His first major success came after starring in the film "The Chase." In 1969, Redford emerged as one of the leading American actors with his role in the western "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
