Early Life and Career

Ismail was born on May 16, 1989, into a humble family of a silk merchant in Gaziantep, Turkey. His passion for football ignited at the tender age of seven when he joined the local club, Gaziantepspor. He exhibited exceptional skills in tackling and defense.

Rise through the Ranks

Ismail's talent caught the attention of club coaches, who selected him for the youth academy. After two months in the youth squad, he was promoted to the reserves and eventually to the senior team as a left-back. Through hard work and determination, Ismail earned the starting position from veteran defender Emre Erdoğan.

Move to Beşiktaş

In 2009, Ismail sought a trial at Beşiktaş F.C. Impressed by his abilities, manager Mustafa Denizli signed him to a two-year contract worth €100,000 per month. The transfer fee reportedly amounted to $3,000,000.

Career at Beşiktaş
