Early Career
Ivan Santini, a Croatian footballer, began his professional career in his hometown club, Zadar. In 2006, he joined Inter Zaprešić, a Croatian second division club. Seeking international experience, he moved to Austria in 2007 and played for the youth squad of Red Bull Salzburg for two years.
German and Austrian Odyssey
In 2009, Santini signed with Ingolstadt 04 in Germany, making his debut in the 2. Bundesliga in 2010. Despite failing to establish a regular starting role, he returned to Croatia and his former club Zadar in 2011.
Croatian Debut and International Recognition
After impressing in the Croatian league, Santini was loaned to Freiburg in Germany in 2012. He made his Bundesliga debut in 2013, scoring his first goal that year. In 2013, he joined Belgian club Kortrijk, where he emerged as a top scorer, finishing in the top five of the league's scorers.
European Success
Santini's impressive performances earned him a transfer to Standard Liège in Belgium in 2015. He quickly made an impact, becoming the team's leading scorer and one of the league's top marksmen. The following year, he moved to French club Caen, where he also established himself as a prolific goalscorer.
International Career
In 2017, Santini made his international debut for the Croatian national team in a friendly against Mexico. Since then, he has continued to represent his country at the international level.
