Early Life and Education
Miloš Sádlo was born into a Russian family in Prague, Czechoslovakia. In his formative years, he pursued musical studies at the Prague Conservatory under the tutelage of Juluis Lunek and Ladislav Zelenka.
Parisian Studies and Orchestral Career
Seeking further refinement, Sádlo traveled to Paris in 1928 and studied with reknown cellist Diran Alexanian until 1930. Upon his return, he joined the Prague Quartet as a cellist in 1931.
Concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic
From 1945 onward, Sádlo held the esteemed position of concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. His virtuosity was showcased in the premiere performance of Bohuslav Martinů's Concertino in 1949.
Pedagogical Legacy
Sádlo's influence extended beyond the concert hall. In 1951, he became a professor at the Prague Conservatory, sharing his knowledge and skills with aspiring musicians. Through his mentorship, he shaped the next generation of Czech musicians.
