Early Life and Education

Antoni Wag was a Polish botanist and the brother of fellow botanist Anton Wag. He pursued his education at the University of Warsaw.

Botanical Explorations and "Flora polska jawnokwiatowych"

After graduating, Wag embarked on botanical expeditions throughout the Kingdom of Poland. These journeys provided the basis for his seminal work, "Flora polska jawnokwiatowych," published in three volumes between 1847 and 1848. The publication meticulously cataloged and described the wild plant species found in Poland.

"Historia raslin"

Wag's subsequent notable work was "Historia raslin." Published in Warsaw from 1871 to 1872, this comprehensive volume delved into the history of plants and their classification.
