Early Life and Career
Jamie Luner was born on May 12, 1971, in Palo Alto, California. At the age of three, she was introduced to the television camera when she appeared in commercials. Her passion for acting was ignited in 1976 when she won a local Shakespeare festival, and she decided to pursue a career in acting. While still a high school student in Beverly Hills, Jamie started acting in television, appearing in several episodes of the comedy series "Growing Pains" in 1985. In 1988, she landed the lead role of sassy Cindy Lubbock in the series "Just the Ten of Us," which earned her a Young Artist Awards nomination in 1989.
Change of Profession and Return to Television
After the "Just the Ten of Us" series ended in 1991, Luner decided to change her profession and enrolled in culinary school. She became a chef at a French restaurant called "Drai's." However, her passion for acting drew her back to television, and she accepted small roles in TV series such as "Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter?" (1993), "Married... with Children," and "Diagnosis: Murder." In 1994, Jamie started working with producer Aaron Spelling, and their first collaboration was the TV series "Confessions of a Sorority Girl." Following her role in this series, Jamie's career took off, and she landed a role in the popular series "Savannah," for which she fought hard. The "Savannah" series ended in 1996, and Luner decided to take a break from acting. She and her partner John Braz traveled around the country for a year in their camper van before settling down in 1997.
