Biography of Jean Fernandez
Jean Fernandez is a former French football player and current coach. He was born in Mostaganem, a city in Algeria that was under French control at the time.
Playing Career
Fernandez began his professional career at Beziers, where he played for three years and participated in 61 matches. In 1975, he transferred to Olympique Marseille, one of the top clubs in France. During his five-year tenure with the team, Fernandez played over a hundred matches, scoring one goal. After leaving Marseille, he joined Bordeaux in the Gironde region. In 1984, Fernandez decided to retire from playing and ended his career at Cannes.
Coaching Career
Just one year after retiring as a player, Fernandez took on the role of coach for Cannes. He spent five years there before moving on to coach various French and international clubs. Throughout his coaching career, Fernandez has gained experience and knowledge from working with different teams and players.
