Breakthrough Role in 'Back to the Future'

'Back to the Future' was not Weissman's first foray into acting. Prior to being cast as George McFly, he had already appeared in commercials, television series, and films. When Crispin Glover, who portrayed George in the first installment of the trilogy, declined to return for the sequels, director Robert Zemeckis chose Weissman as his replacement.
