Biography of Jennifer Lee
Jennifer Jason Lee was born in Los Angeles. Her father, actor Vic Morrow, and mother, screenwriter Barbara Turner, divorced in 1964, and Jennifer lived with her mother. In 1982, her father died on the set of the film "Twilight Zone: The Movie," leaving his entire estate to Jennifer's sister, Carrie. Jennifer's stepfather, television director Reza Badiyi, was passionate about photography and made her his favorite model.
Early Career
From an early age, Jennifer decided to become an actress, but her mother was against show business, at least until Jennifer turned 17. And as soon as she reached the desired age, she began to break into the film industry. After getting a role in the film "Eyes of a Stranger" (1981), she dropped out of school - a month and a half before receiving her diploma. Jennifer never studied anywhere else. Instead, she learned from life experiences.
Diverse Roles
To play the role of a sexually obsessed high school student in the film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (1982), Jennifer got a job at a fast food restaurant. Fearless Actress
Jennifer is shy and introverted, absorbing everything new that is needed for her roles. "She truly lives only when she acts," says director Paul Verhoeven, who worked with her on the film "Flesh and Blood," where she played a medieval aristocrat. "Between roles, her life is boring, uninteresting, and mundane." She hates parties and crowds of people, loves playing with dogs and going to the movies, and does not have any exotic hobbies. She has a reputation as the most fearless actress with brilliant technique, but most of her roles are too scandalous or marginal to win her an Oscar, although she did receive a Golden Globe for "Short Cuts." While preparing for the biographical film "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle" (1994), she spent months studying tapes of the famous writer's voice.
Favorite Roles
One of Jennifer's favorite roles is in "Georgia," written by her mother, where she portrayed a talentless neurotic (she had to lose 10 kilograms for this role). The story of the rivalry between two sisters - a talented singer and Jennifer's character's lack of talent - was invented by Jennifer herself, using motifs from her own life but reversing the real situation. The character Allegra Geller, an inventor of virtual reality games in David Cronenberg's sci-fi thriller "eXistenZ" (1999), is also close to her own personality. Like Jennifer, Allegra becomes so obsessed with her work that she loses control of reality and changes along with her game characters.
Personal Life
For a time, Jennifer was in a relationship with actor Eric Stoltz, but whether they are still together is a secret, as she does not want to sacrifice her personal life for publicity.
