Jenny Barringer started her sporting journey from a young age, inheriting her love for track and field from her mother, Janet, and father, Bruce. However, her childhood years were challenging as she frequently fell ill and spent a significant amount of time at home. After a thorough examination, doctors diagnosed her with cystic fibrosis, a respiratory condition. Later, she was also diagnosed with infantile asthma. With the dedication of her mother and appropriate treatment, Jenny recovered and overcame this debilitating condition.
