Jeremy Charles Robert Clarkson, a British television presenter and journalist, is renowned for his work on the BBC car show "Top Gear," which he co-hosts with James May and Richard Hammond. In addition to his television career, Clarkson also writes columns for "The Sunday Times" and "The Sun" newspapers.

Born on April 11, 1960, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Jeremy Clarkson grew up in a family with limited financial resources. To support his education, his parents, Shirley Gabriel Ward and Edward Clarkson, started making and selling handmade teddy bears. The success of their venture enabled Clarkson to attend prestigious schools such as Hill House School in Doncaster and Repton School. However, he was frequently expelled from these institutions for his inappropriate behavior. Clarkson himself has admitted to being expelled from Repton School for "hooliganism, smoking, and drinking alcohol."

After leaving school, Clarkson pursued a career in journalism and worked for local publications such as the "Rotherham Advertiser," "Rochdale Observer," "Wolverhampton Express & Star," "Lincolnshire Life," and "Associated Kent Newspapers."
