Jerome Flynn is an English actor and singer who gained popularity through his role as Corporal Paddy Garvey in the ITV series "Soldier, Soldier." He is also known for his role as Bronn in the HBO series "Game of Thrones."

Jerome Flynn was born in Bromley, Kent, to actor and singer Eric Flynn and drama teacher Fern Flynn. He grew up in a family of performers, with his brother Daniel and stepbrother Johnny also pursuing acting careers.

In 1986, Flynn appeared in the pilot episode of the show "London's Burning." Two years later, he landed a role in the crime drama series "The Fear" on ITV. In 1991, he received his breakthrough role as Corporal Paddy Garvey in the ITV series "Soldier, Soldier."

Music Career

During his time on "Soldier, Soldier," Flynn formed the musical duo "Robson&Jerome" with his co-star Robson Green. They gained immense success with their cover of "Unchained Melody," which topped the charts and sold 1.9 million copies. They went on to release two successful albums and had two more chart-topping singles, "I Believe" and "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted."

Later Career

After the conclusion of "Soldier, Soldier" in 1997, Flynn continued his acting career. He starred as Eddie Wallis in the show "Ain't Misbehavin'" alongside Robson Green. He also appeared in the police drama series "Badger" and the film "Best" in 1999. Flynn also showcased his talent on stage, portraying Tommy Cooper in the play "Jus' Like That."

In 2007, Flynn made his directorial debut with the low-budget film "Rude Tales," in which he also played the lead role. The film consisted of a collection of short stories and was showcased in independent cinemas.

In 2010, Flynn was cast as the mercenary Bronn in the television adaptation of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," titled "Game of Thrones." He later secured a major role in the BBC series "Ripper Street" in 2012.

Personal Life

Jerome Flynn currently resides in Pembrokeshire, Wales. He has been a vegetarian since the age of 18 and actively participates in vegetarian communities.
