Biography of Jerry-Christian Tchuise
Jerry-Christian Tchuise is a Cameroonian and Russian footballer who played as a defender. He obtained Russian citizenship in 2000 and was considered as a candidate for the Russian national team. Fans saw him as a potential equivalent to Nigerian legionnaire of the Polish national team, Emmanuel Olisadebe. A special jersey with the number 21 was even prepared for Tchuise, which was intended to be presented to him before the match between Spartak and CSKA on March 31, 2001. However, he never played a single match for the Russian national team.
On May 6, 2001, Tchuise made his debut for the Cameroonian national team, where he was also called up. In the Russian Premier League, he played for Novorossiysk's Chernomorets (after transferring from KFK Neftyanik Kubani), Spartak Moscow, and FC Moscow. On June 30, 2003, he played for the foreign players' team in the Russian championship. In 2007, he played for Grozny's Terek, which competed in the Russian First Division and finished in second place, earning promotion to the Premier League. However, the new head coach of the club, Leonid Nazarenko, decided not to extend the agreement with the player. In January 2008, there was information that Tchuise would transfer to Rostov, having previously moved in the opposite direction to Terek from the Premier League to the First Division. However, this transfer did not happen, and Tchuise moved to another first division club, Vityaz in Podolsk, where he spent the 2008 season.
As of September 2010, Tchuise lived with his family in Le Mans, France. He played for veterans and coached a team called "Le Mans Gazélec" in the second division of the Sarta department. He had business interests in Cameroon and held a Russian passport without a Cameroonian one. As of 2020, he lived in Paris and coached a local youth team.
Personal Life
Tchuise is the second child in his family. His father has two wives and eight children. His wife's name is Mari, and they have an eldest son named Ivan-Yuri, who was born in 2000. They also have two other children.
