American Actor Jerry Lynn Mathers
Jerry Lynn Mathers is an American actor of theater, television, and film. He is best known to Americans, especially the older generation, for his role in the series 'Leave It to Beaver' (1957-1963).

Early Life and Career
Jerry Mathers was born on June 2, 1948, in Sioux City, Iowa, USA. He began his acting career at a very young age. At the age of 2, he appeared in a commercial where he portrayed a cowboy in a saloon. Despite his early success, Mathers took a break from acting during his teenage years to focus on his education.

Return to Acting
Mathers returned to acting in 1978 and has since appeared in films such as 'Playing Patti' (1998), 'More Luck Tomorrow' (2002), 'It's Howdy Doody Time' (1987), 'Sexual Malice' (1994), and 'Down the Drain' (1990). However, his most famous role was played when he was still in school - the role of Theodore 'Beaver' Cleaver in the series 'Leave It to Beaver' (1957-1963). It is said that when he was called for auditions for this role, he initially declined, preferring to attend a scouting event for the younger group. His honesty and straightforwardness impressed the producers, and he ended up spending 6 years filming the series. He also became the first child actor to receive a percentage of the show's profits. Even today, more than half a century after the series ended, he still earns income from it. Several sequels to the series were made with the same cast, and audiences in 80 countries speaking 40 different languages recognize the actor who played the main role.

Personal Life and Achievements
In addition to his acting career, Mathers earned a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in 1973. He has recorded music albums, performed on Broadway stages, and received flowers at his own funeral. This was due to a mix-up in the news, as a namesake of his was killed in Vietnam during the war, and the media mistakenly reported Jerry Mathers' death. He also struggled with diabetes but managed to overcome it. He now lectures on diabetes management. Mathers has built a successful career in real estate and currently serves as a representative for the National Psoriasis Foundation. He has been married twice and, along with his second wife Ronda, raised three children. However, their marriage ended after 20 years.
