Early Life and Career

Jessica Leigh Stroup was born on October 23, 1986, in Anderson, South Carolina. She attended Providence High School and graduated in 2004. Encouraged by a family friend, a former Miss North Carolina, Jessica pursued a career in modeling at the age of 15. By 18, she had transitioned into acting. Despite receiving a scholarship to the University of Georgia at the age of 17, Jessica declined the offer to fully dedicate herself to her acting career. She relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she currently resides.

Rise to Fame

Jessica's first role was as Fredericka in the popular teen series "Unfabulous" on Nickelodeon, alongside Emma Roberts. She then landed a small role in the television thriller "Vampire Bats" in 2005. Her breakthrough came with the role of Lindy in the television drama "Southern Comfort" in 2006. She had initially planned to play Zoe in the thriller "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer," but scheduling conflicts prevented her from staying in the project. In 2008, Jessica joined the cast of "90210," playing the rebellious Erin Silver, which became one of her most memorable roles.

Continued Success

Jessica went on to portray Amber in the sequel "The Hills Have Eyes 2" and Claire in the remake of "Prom Night." She shared a kissing scene with Heather Graham in the thriller "Broken." She also appeared alongside Idris Elba in the romantic comedy "This Christmas." In addition to her film and television work, Jessica has appeared in numerous commercials for companies such as Honda, Velveeta, and Target. She is best known as the "Dentyne Ice girl" from a chewing gum advertisement. Prior to joining "90210," Jessica had a role as Kelly in the pilot episode of the series "True Blood." One of her recent projects includes playing Elizabeth Mitchum in the thriller "Homecoming" in 2009, alongside Mischa Barton. Jessica Stroup has received the Young Hollywood Awards for her achievements in the industry.
