Joey Don Essex, born on July 29, 1990, in London, is an English television personality and DJ. He rose to fame in 2011 after appearing on the reality show "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE) on ITV2.
Early Life and Career
Joey Essex first gained recognition as a member of the Sims family on TOWIE. His older cousin, a model, helped him land a spot on the show. Soon after, Joey's sister, Frankie, also joined the cast. Joey's cousin, Chloe Sims, remained on the show even after Joey and Frankie left in 2013.
During his time on TOWIE, Joey Essex released two singles, "Reem" and a cover of "Last Christmas" by Wham!. However, neither of them achieved significant success in the charts.
