Early Life and Military CareerBorn in Scotland, John Adair embarked on a diverse career path before pursuing leadership studies. He commanded a platoon of Scots Guards in Egypt, served in the Arab Legion, worked as a deckhand on an Icelandic trawler, and became a medical officer.
Academic Accomplishments
In 1979, Adair made history as the world's first Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Surrey. He later received a Master's degree from Oxford University and a PhD from King's College London.
