Clerkship to Justice William Rehnquist

From 1980 to 1981, Roberts served as a law clerk to then-Associate Justice William Rehnquist of the Supreme Court.

Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice

Roberts also worked as an attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice from 1981 to 1982 and again from 1989 to 1993.
