Biography of Jonas Ridderstrale
Early Life and EducationJonas Ridderstrale, a Swedish economist, thinker, speaker, and writer, was born in 1966 in Sweden. He holds bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in economics, with his primary interest being global innovation. Ridderstrale wrote his dissertation on this topic.
Career and Achievements
Ridderstrale gained recognition through his work at the Centre for Advanced Studies of Leadership at the Stockholm School of Economics. He conducted research at the Institute of International Business at the same institution, under the guidance of the late Gunnar Hedlund. Currently, Ridderstrale is a visiting professor at the Ashridge Business School in the United Kingdom and the IE Business School in Spain.
Ridderstrale is considered one of the prominent representatives of a new generation of business educators in Europe. His most notable publications include co-authored books with Kjell A. Nordström, titled "Karaoke Capitalism: Management for mankind" and "Funky Business Forever: How to enjoy capitalism." In 2000, he released "Funky Business: Talent makes capital dance," also co-written with Nordström. Ridderstrale's books have gained significant recognition in the field of business management.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Ridderstrale resides in Stockholm with his wife and two children. In his free time, he collects art and is known to have one of the most unique art collections in Sweden.

In 2000, Ridderstrale was named the "Outstanding Young Academic of the Year" in Sweden. In 2007, he received the Italian Nobels Colloquia award for leadership in business and economic thinking. In 2009, he ranked 23rd in the "Thinkers 50" list and is considered one of the top five European business gurus.
