Jonathan Pampling is an Australian fashion designer who founded the brand 'Athan-Jon'. Born in 1980 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Pampling grew up in Hervey Bay, located 290 km north of Brisbane. After completing school, he initially worked in environmental conservation and planted trees to restore the coastline of Hervey Bay. He later spent some time as a ranger on Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island, located on the eastern coast of Australia.

The secluded and contemplative life had an unexpected impact on Pampling, leading him to leave the ranks of environmental protectors and pursue a career in retail. In 2001, he embarked on a journey to study the intricacies of fashion design.
