Early Career
Mario Leandro Córdobais an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Los Andes in Argentina. He began his professional career in 2008 with hometown club Unión de Santa Fe, appearing in only two league matches.
Loan to River Plate Uruguay
In January 2009, Córdoba was loaned to Uruguayan club River Plate until June 2010, with an option to buy. He scored his first career goal on May 16, 2009, against legendary side Peñarol. In one season with River Plate, he played 41 matches and netted 11 goals.
Córdoba particularly excelled in the Copa Sudamericana, scoring five goals in the 2009 tournament and finishing as the third-highest scorer. He helped River Plate reach the semi-finals, scoring his fifth goal against eventual champions LDU Quito in the first leg of the semi-final.
Return to Argentina and Departure for Ecuador
In the 2010/11 season, Córdoba played for Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata but could not prevent the team's relegation from the Argentine Primera División. Since 2011, he has played for Ecuadorian club Deportivo Quito.
