Early Life and Career

Baldocchi, a former Brazilian footballer, was born in the city of Batatais in 1946. His Italian ancestry can be traced back to his grandfather, who immigrated to Brazil in the late 19th century and established a business in the furniture industry.

Club Career

Baldocchi embarked on his professional football journey in his hometown club, Batatais, in 1946. A year later, he made the transition to Botafogo, where he spent a single season.

In 1966, Baldocchi joined Palmeiras, replacing the legendary Djalma Santos, who had declined to renew his contract. He debuted in a friendly match against Arapongas, playing for 45 minutes. During his five-year tenure with Palmeiras, he lifted two Torneio Rio-São Paulo, two Copa Roberto Pedrosa, and the Copa do Brasil. His final appearance for the club came on June 17, 1971, in a 7-0 victory over São Bento.

International Career

Baldocchi's exceptional performances for Palmeiras earned him a call-up to the Brazilian national team, where he made three appearances. He was part of the victorious squad at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, serving as a backup to the legendary Brito.

Move to Corinthians and Later Career

In 1971, Baldocchi made a significant transfer to Corinthians, swapping sides with Paulo Borges and defender Polaco. He spent four seasons with the São Paulo club, amassing 146 appearances. A conflict with club president Vicente Mateus led Baldocchi to decline a contract renewal in 1977. After a year's absence from football, he joined Fortaleza, where he retired in 1977.

Post-Football Career

Following his retirement, Baldocchi returned to his family business, Baldocchi Madeiras & M?veis. He also established a prosperous farm, cultivating potatoes, coffee, soybeans, and dairy products.
