Biography of Juan Gutierrez Moreno

Juan Gutierrez Moreno, also known as Juanito, is a Spanish football player who played as a central defender. He was a member of the Spanish national football team from 2002 to 2008 and participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Championships in 2004 and 2008.

Early Career

Juanito began his football career at a club in his hometown of Cadiz. In the late 1990s, he played for the reserve team of Real Betis, which competed in the fourth division of Spanish football. However, he was unable to break into the first team. In the 2000/01 season, he played for Recreativo, a second division club from Huelva, where he became a key defender. The following season, he returned to Betis and this time managed to secure a place in the first team, regularly appearing in matches in La Liga, as well as UEFA Cup and Champions League games. The team's highest achievements during this period were winning the Copa del Rey and finishing in fourth place in the Spanish league in the 2005 season.

International Career

Juanito made his debut for the Spanish national team on August 21, 2002, in a friendly match against Hungary, which was a tribute to Ferenc Puskas. He scored his first international goal against Ivory Coast, and Spain won the match 3-2. He also represented Spain in the UEFA European Championship in 2004 and the FIFA World Cup in 2006, where he scored the only goal in a match against Saudi Arabia (1-0). In 2008, he was included in the Spanish squad for the Euro 2008.
