Biography of Judith Exner
Judith Exner, also known as Judith Campbell Exner, was an American woman who was rumored to be the mistress of President John F. Kennedy and two mafia leaders, Sam Giancana and John Roselli. She was born Judith Eileen Katherine Immoor in New York, to a German architect family. Her older sister, Jacqueline, later became an actress known as Susan Morrow. When Judith was a child, her family moved to Los Angeles.
In 1952, she married actor William Campbell, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1958. Rumors suggest that Judith had an affair with Frank Sinatra, which may have contributed to the divorce. Other sources claim that they divorced in 1959 after two years of separation.
On February 7, 1960, Sinatra introduced Exner to John F. Kennedy when Kennedy was still a senator and running for president. It is believed that Exner became one of Kennedy's mistresses, and Jacqueline Kennedy was aware of their affair. Later, Sinatra introduced Exner to another acquaintance, Sam Giancana. Exner claimed that she had no knowledge of Giancana's mafia connections until Kennedy informed her.
After Kennedy became president, their affair continued, despite Exner being under surveillance by the FBI due to her close ties with Giancana. Eventually, the FBI discovered their relationship and put an end to their affair. Exner stated that she had a brief relationship with Giancana but ended it after he proposed to her, as she no longer wanted to be involved with the mafia. She also revealed that she had to artificially terminate a pregnancy during this time, and Kennedy was the father.
For a long time, Exner remained silent about her relationship with Kennedy, even after his assassination. However, in 1975, she disclosed the details of their affair following an article published by the New York Times. Exner gave her testimony, but she later admitted that she did not reveal everything out of fear of retaliation from the mafia. While her name did not appear in official records, it somehow became public knowledge.
In 1977, Exner published her book "Judith Exner: My Story," in which she claimed that her relationship with Kennedy was purely personal. Many accused her of acting as a go-between for Kennedy and Giancana. In her book, Exner shed light on several dark stories from Kennedy's past, including his affair with a Danish spy during World War II and his infatuation with Marilyn Monroe. She also claimed that Kennedy brought prostitutes into the White House swimming pool.
