Childhood and Early Life
Julia Stegner was born on November 2, 1984, in Ismaning, Bavaria, Germany. The daughter of a sales manager and an accountant, she grew up with her older sister in an animal-loving family surrounded by dogs. Stegner's sister later pursued a career in filmmaking.

Modeling Career
At the age of seven, Stegner began modeling as a child, appearing in advertisements and children's catalogs. She also studied dance for nine years. Her height of 180 cm (5'11") made her a natural choice for sports, and her classmates nicknamed her "Beanpole."

Breakthrough in Paris
While attending high school, Stegner discovered her love for basketball and played for a club team in Munich. At the Munich Oktoberfest shortly before her 15th birthday, she caught the eye of a talent scout who recognized her potential as a model.

In 2003, Stegner moved to Paris to pursue a modeling career instead of studying accounting. She signed with Supreme Management and opened the Yves Saint Laurent fall 2003 show. That same year, she starred in campaigns for Strenesse, Sportmax, and graced the covers of Vogue for France, Italy, Germany, and Japan.
Rise to Supermodel Status
By the summer of 2004, Stegner had worked with industry giants such as Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Celine, and Yves Saint Laurent. She also had several seasons with Hugo Boss.
In 2005, Stegner became the face of Chloé and walked in numerous fashion shows, including Anna Sui, Shiatzy Chen, Lanvin, Gucci, Versace, and Valentino. From 2005 to 2009, she was a regular fixture at Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows.
Campaign Star and Brand Ambassador
Stegner has posed for the covers of renowned magazines such as Numero, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and W. She has also been featured in high-profile campaigns for brands like Femme, Aquascutum, Guerlain KissKiss, and Hugo Boss Eyewear.
In 2008, Stegner became the face of Maybelline and Gianfranco Ferré. In 2009, she was named the new face of Mercedes Benz.
Personal Life
Stegner is known for her dedication to fitness and is often seen cycling to work. She is involved in charitable causes and supports organizations such as the Climate Reality Project and WWF.
