Biography of Julie Nixon Eisenhower

Julie Nixon Eisenhower is the daughter of the 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon, and Patricia Ryan Nixon, as well as the younger sister of Patricia Nixon Cox. She was born on July 5, 1948, in Washington, D.C., when her father was still a congressman.

As a teenager, Julie attended a private school but was forced to leave in 1961 after her father lost the presidential election. The family then moved to California and later to New York, where Julie graduated from school in 1972 and earned a master's degree from Catholic University.

From 1973 to 1975, Julie Nixon Eisenhower worked as an assistant editor at the Saturday Evening Post and a book publishing company. During this time, she also wrote a book about her father, titled "Eye On Nixon," which featured personal photographs. Her popularity was largely connected to her father's persona, as the 37th President of the United States was of great interest to the public. At various times, Julie gave a total of 138 interviews while traveling across the country.

In the summer of 1973, Julie and her husband traveled to London, where she appeared on the BBC and spoke about her father once again. After her father's presidency ended in 1974, the Nixon family left the White House and started a new life.

Julie Nixon Eisenhower and her husband David settled in Pennsylvania, where Julie began actively writing books. Her works focused on her father, mother, and other family members. In addition to her writing talent, Julie also showed leadership skills. She served as co-chair of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Birthplace Foundation.

Julie has been married to David Eisenhower since 1956 when they met at the Republican National Convention. They have three children together, with their eldest daughter becoming a well-known actress.
