Miraculous Survival: Kamal Survives 5-Foot Impalement
On a fateful night in July 2018, a 25-year-old Indian man named Kamal Prajapati's life took a dramatic turn. As he was returning home from a wedding around midnight, his car was struck by a truck attempting an overtake. The impact hurled Prajapati's vehicle several meters off the road in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Gruesome Discovery and Emergency Surgery
Miraculously, Prajapati regained consciousness after the crash but was in excruciating pain due to a 5-foot-long iron rod that had impaled his shoulder and exited through his arm. He was discovered by passing motorists after lying by the roadside for five agonizing hours.
Prajapati was rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, where a team of 10 skilled surgeons performed a three-hour surgery to remove the metal rod. The complex procedure was a success, and Prajapati is expected to make a full recovery once his wounds heal.
Doctor's Account of the Extraordinary Surgery
Dr. Shiv Kumar Bunkar, head of the surgical department where Prajapati was treated, described the gruesome nature of the injury: "The 5-foot-long bent iron rod had pierced through his shoulder and emerged from his right hand. He had lost a lot of blood, but he was conscious and kept talking throughout."
"We immediately assembled a team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and orthopedic surgeons," Bunkar continued. "The operation commenced at 3:00 AM and lasted for three hours. The patient was then placed on a ventilator. Currently, Prajapati's life is out of danger."
Brothers' Reaction and Gratitude
Prajapati's brother, Sunil Kumar, expressed his amazement and relief: "He survived such a horrifying accident. It's simply unbelievable."
"He informed us that he had left the wedding around 11:00 PM," Sunil recalled. "We were waiting for him, but a few hours later, we received a call from the local police about the incident. We rushed to the hospital immediately."
"The sight was terrible. Kamal was bleeding profusely, but he was conscious. The ambulance driver told us that my brother had been talking all the way to the hospital. Kamal maintained his composure, but he couldn't help but cry out in pain."
"I am so grateful to the doctors and to God for saving my brother's life," Sunil concluded.
