Carlos Manuel Brito Leal Queiroz, also known as Carlos Queiroz, is a renowned Portuguese coach and football specialist. Born on March 1, 1953 in Nampula, Mozambique, he has achieved his main successes with the youth teams and polished his sporting biography at Manchester United. Queiroz started his coaching career as an assistant coach of the Portuguese youth national teams in 1984 and later became the coach of the main national team in 1991. He also had club experiences with Estoril, Sporting Lisbon, New York MetroStars, and Nagoya Grampus Eight. In June 2002, he joined the coaching staff of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, where he proved his ability to lead a team of world-class stars.
