Early Life and CareerKen Sema, a Swedish footballer, was born in Norrköping, Sweden on September 30, 1993. His journey into the world of football began at the tender age of five when he joined the local club Sylvia. In 2005, he made the switch to the youth squad of Norrköping, the leading club in his hometown.
Professional Debut
Sema made his professional debut in 2013 while on loan at Sylvia, which competed in the third division. After impressing during his loan spell, he signed a three-year contract with Jönköpings Södra IF, a second division club, in February 2014. During his two seasons with Jönköpings Södra, he recorded an impressive tally of 11 goals in 60 appearances.
Rise to the Top with Östersund
In 2016, Sema joined Östersunds FK, a newcomer to the Swedish top flight, Allsvenskan. He penned a three-year contract and made his debut against Hammarby on April 4, 2016. Sema quickly established himself as a key player for Östersund, contributing to their success both domestically and internationally.
International Career
Sema's performances at club level earned him a call-up to the Swedish Olympic team for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Prior to that, he had not been selected for any youth national teams.
Family Background
Sema's parents, Ndonga and Kianda, emigrated to Sweden from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) in 1987. His older brother, Mike (born 1988), is also a professional footballer who has played for clubs in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Cyprus. Sema also has two sisters, Lira and Amanda.
