Early Life and Career
Spirydion Albański, a Polish footballer and goalkeeper, was born in Lwów, Poland. He commenced his football career with Pogon Lwów, where he remained for 11 illustrious seasons, amassing a club-record 234 appearances. During his tenure with Pogon, Albański represented the Polish national team 21 times, participating in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. From 1930 to 1939, he played in every match for his club, a remarkable total of 174 consecutive games. In 1936, Albański became the team's captain.

In 1944, Albański relocated to Rzeszów, Western Poland, where he played for Resovia. During the 1945-46 season, he made several appearances for Pogon Katowice. Following World War II, Albański moved to Upper Silesia, where he worked in coal mining before becoming a civil servant and later a football coach.
