Kevin Constant: Franco-Guinean Footballer

Kevin Constant, a Franco-Guinean footballer, played as an attacking midfielder. Born to a French father and a Guinean mother, Constant initially chose to represent France.

Early Career and Club Success

Raised in Toulouse FC's academy, Constant debuted for the club's reserve team in 2004. He made sporadic appearances for the first team between 2006 and 2008 before joining Châteauroux in January 2008 as a free agent.

At Châteauroux, Constant established himself as a key player, scoring 15 goals in 79 appearances. The 2009/2010 season proved to be his most prolific, with 10 goals and 8 assists.

International Career

Constant represented France at under-17 level, winning the European Championship in 2004. In 2007, he switched allegiance to Guinea, making his debut in an October friendly against Senegal. However, his mother's Guinean heritage was subject to a FIFA investigation, which delayed his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Move to Serie A

In the summer of 2010, Constant was loaned to Italian club Chievo, with an option to make the move permanent for €1 million. He made his Serie A debut in September against Napoli.

Constant signed for Genoa in July 2011, scoring his first goal for the club against Catania. He remained with Genoa until 2014, making a significant impact on the Italian league.
