Kevin Dunn was born on February 26, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois. His father, John, was a musician and poet, while his mother, Margaret, was a nurse. His sister, Nora, also became an actress.

Dunn graduated from Wesleyan University in Illinois in 1977.

Acting Career

Dunn's acting career began in earnest in the late 1980s. Some of his notable early roles include FBI agent Byrd in "Mississippi Burning" (1988), a reporter in "Ghostbusters 2" (1989), and mobster Sal Rosselli in "Marked for Death" (1990).
