Youth and Academy Career

Kieran Trippier was born in Bury, Greater Manchester, and joined Manchester City's academy at the age of nine. He progressed through the youth ranks, captaining the U-18 side and winning the FA Youth Cup in 2008.

Early Loan Spells

In February 2010, Trippier joined Barnsley on loan, making his debut against Middlesbrough. His loan was cut short due to an injury, but he returned in August 2010 for a six-month spell. Trippier scored his first professional goals with Barnsley, two free-kicks against Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers.

Breakthrough at Burnley

Trippier was loaned to Burnley in the summer of 2011. He made an immediate impact, scoring three goals and earning a nomination for Championship Player of the Month in December 2011. In January 2012, he signed a permanent three-and-a-half-year contract with Burnley. Trippier played in all 46 league games in the 2011/12 season, helping Burnley reach the Championship play-offs. He was named Burnley's Player of the Year and included in the PFA Team of the Year for the Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur

On July 19, 2015, Trippier joined Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £3.5 million. He made his debut in the Europa League against Qarabag and scored his first goal for Tottenham against Watford in February 2016. Trippier established himself as a regular in Tottenham's first team and helped the club reach the Champions League final in 2019.

International Career

Trippier has represented England at various youth levels. He made his senior debut in a friendly against France in June 2017. Trippier was part of England's squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he played in the semi-final against Croatia.
