Kim Kum-Il: North Korean Midfielder

Kim Kum-Il is a North Korean footballer who plays as a midfielder for Rimyongsu and the North Korean national team.

Club Career

Kim has been a member of the Rimyongsu football club, competing in the North Korean league, since 2005.

International Career

Youth and U-23 Teams

Kim represented North Korea at the youth (under-17), junior (under-20), and under-23 levels. He participated in the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru, scoring two goals in four matches. He also played in three matches at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada and competed in the qualifying tournament for the 2008 Summer Olympics with the under-23 team.

National Team

Kim made his senior debut for North Korea on October 21, 2007, in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar. He was included in North Korea's squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa but did not play any games in the tournament.

Personal Life

Kim's brother is a member of the North Korean national hockey team.
