Kirill Pirogov was born on September 4, 1973, in Tehran, although his birth certificate states that he was born in Moscow. He describes his childhood as good and bright, and like all children, he was sometimes mischievous and sometimes diligent. Adults loved him. Kirill's father was often busy with his work as an exporter of goods from the Soviet Union. However, his mother devoted a lot of time to her children. Kirill attended a good English school where he learned to speak English and French fluently. He also graduated from a music school and practiced fencing. In addition, he attended a theater studio led by Sergey Zinovyevich Kazarnovsky. In short, he had diverse interests.

His next major role came five years later in Aleksey Balabanov's film "Brat-2" (Brother 2). Kirill played Ilya Setevoy, the friend of the main character.
